Imagine a candle with a secret message inside that contains a fortune, an inspirational prayer, holiday messages, coupons, horoscopes, advertising material, or any other type of printed material.

Introducing Patent # 4,646,640, titled FORTUNE CANDLE.  Simply described, the wax candle contains a foil packet or a scroll wrapped in foil that contains the secret message.  Production of this candle simply involves the placement of the message within the candle prior to pouring, or it can be inserted afterwards.  The secret message is protected from the heat of the candle by the layer of protective foil.  The message packet is exposed after the candle is consumed and is designed to be removed and read after the candle is extinguished.

Diagram (click here) 1 through 3 shows a rectangular foil packet with a folded message inside.  Diagram (click here) 4 through 6 shows a scroll packet which contains a scroll message wrapped in foil with the ends twisted.  Messages can even be placed in small inflammable containers as one manufacturer has done.

 This "patented candle" product has already been successfully marketed for several years.  It is an improvement over the basic candle that has been around for centuries.  This value-added product attracts consumers and store managers who stock their shelves.   The patent is now being offered for lease on a non-exclusive basis.  You will be free to put any kind of message in any type of candle with the following exceptions:  No heart or star shaped candles (this has been previously leased on an exclusive basis), and no currency is to be placed inside (this too has been previously leased on an exclusive basis).

$1000.00 U.S. Dollars yearly or 2 percent of sales, whichever is greater. 

2.  Medium Sized Candle Companies:
$2000.00 U.S. Dollars yearly or 2 percent of sales, whichever is greater.

3.  Large Established Companies:
Large Volume Candle Makers & Wholesale Candle Manufacturers
